Bageshwar bypolls result: BJP candidate Parvati Das wins by 2405 votes

The BJP’s threat continued in the Bageshwar by-election. BJP candidate Parvati Das won in the by-election. The polling was held on 5th September and saw a 55.44 percent voter turnout. However, in the initial trends, both BJP and Congress were in a very close contest to take the lead. Parvati Das won by a margin of 2405 votes over Congress candidate Basant Kumar.
