Doors of Third Kedar Tungnath closed for winter season 2023

The doors of the Third Kedar Lord Tungnath Temple, which is also the highest altitude Shiva temple, have closed today for winter. The doors of the temple were closed for the devotees at 11 am on Wednesday with Vedic chanting and rituals. On this occasion, one and a half thousand devotees had paid obeiscance at Tungnath.

Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Chairman Ajendra Ajay said that for the first time more than One lakh thirty five thousand pilgrims have visited Tungnath. The process of closing the doors started at ten o’clock.
