Army called in to douse forest fire in Nainital

The forest fire in Nainital district of Uttarakhand is getting hard to control. The fire has flared up near Bhawali Road of Nainital. The army has been called in to take charge. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire through helicopter. Helicopters engaged in extinguishing the fire are lifting water from Bhimtal Lake of Nainital. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is reaching Haldwani in Nainital district today. Where he will review the ongoing operation to stop forest fire. He will also visit the affected areas.

The fire has flared up near Bhawali Road of Nainital. After this the army has taken charge. Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire through helicopter. At the same time, there is a massive fire in the forests in Bageshwar also. The forests near Gadgaon of Bageshwar, near Chandika temple and near DM office started burning. The forest fire reached the residential areas in Pauridhar, adjacent to the district headquarters.
