Zimbabwe defeats new-look team India by 13 runs in 1st T20I
Zimbabwe defeated India by 13 runs in the first match of the five-match T20 series. In this match, the batting order of the Indian team couldn’t live up to its expectation. Team India which won the T20 World Cup title last week have been defeated by a team that did not qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024.
After losing the toss and batting first, Zimbabwe scored 115 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs thanks to Clive Madande’s unbeaten innings of 29 runs. In reply, the Indian team could only score 102 runs for 10 wickets in 19.5 overs. Apart from Gill and Sundar, no batsman performed well.
