Uttarakhand is vulnerable to various types of disasters. Pre-emptive preparedness, community capacity building, and continuous training are essential to combat disasters. He suggested that digital twin technology be used in future mock drills conducted by the USDMA. This technology creates a virtual (digital) replica of a location or building, allowing us to practice real-life situations.

The purpose of the earthquake mock drill is to test the preparedness of all districts in the state.

Using this in disaster mock drills allows us to see, without risk, what might happen in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake, flood, or fire, and how to respond. Vinay Kumar Ruhela, Vice Chairman of the State Advisory Committee on Disaster Management, said, “The most important thing to deal with disasters is to learn from them. If we act on the lessons learned from disasters, even the biggest disasters can be effectively dealt with.”

Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said, “The purpose of the earthquake mock exercise is to test the preparedness of all districts in the state to ensure a quick and effective response in the event of a disaster like an earthquake.”
