Cloud burst in Nepal causes destruction in border areas of Pithoragarh

Cloudburst in neighboring Nepal has caused huge destruction in the border tehsil Dharchula. The situation is such that dozens of houses have drowned in the Kali river. Not only this, along with vehicles, many buildings and cattle etc. have been damaged. Also a woman is said to be missing. Due to this incident of cloudburst, along with Nepal, most of the destruction has happened in Khotila village of India. In Uttarakhand today, for September 10, the Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert of heavy rain, asking people and departments to be alert in Doon, Tehri, Bageshwar, Nainital, Champawat districts.

According to the disaster management department, SDRF, NDRF, police have been sent to the disaster affected areas. Search operation mission is also being carried out. Simultaneously, the damage assessment is also being done.

It is raining heavily on the mountains. On Friday night also, the heavy rain on the mountains turned rivers into raging torrents. This has caused havoc on the Indo-Nepal border.

Heavy rain in Pithoragarh district late night has caused great devastation on the India and Nepal border. Dharchula’s Premnagar of Khotila has been submerged by the surge of water. There were reports of missing people.
