Muhurat trading 2023: Sensex closed at 65,259 after rising 354 points

There is a tradition of Muhurat trading in the Indian stock market on the occasion of Diwali. In such a situation, the market opened for Muhurat trading from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm today, ie November 12, 2023. The Sensex closed at 65,259.45 with a rise of 354.77 points (0.55%). Nifty also gained 100.20 points and closed at the level of 19,525.55. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 28 were on the rise.

43 stocks of Nifty-50 including Coal India remained on the rise

43 Nifty-50 stocks including Coal India, UPL, Infosys, Eicher Motors, Wipro and NTPC were on the rise. Whereas 7 Nifty stocks including Britannia, Sun Pharma, Apollo Hospital, Bajaj Finserv, LTI Mindtree and BPCL declined.

There was a rise in all the sectoral indices of NSE

Talking about NSE’s sectoral index, growth was seen in all sectors including Bank, Auto, Financial Services, FMCG, IT, Media, Metal, Pharma, PSU Bank, Private Bank and Realty, but the Muhurat trading timings for Diwali 2023 were from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm

On normal days the market opens from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday. Pre market session takes place from 9:00 to 9:15. Then normal session till 3:30 pm.

On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex had increased by 72 points and closed at the level of 64,904. There was also a rise of 30 points in Nifty, it closed at the level of 19,425.
