The deadline for online applications for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET), scheduled for September 29, has been extended. Applications can now be submitted online via the official website, www.ukutet.com, until August 9 instead of August 3.
A UTET certificate is mandatory for becoming a teacher in primary schools or junior high schools. The Uttarakhand Board of Education conducts this examination. To become a primary school teacher, one must pass the UTET-I exam, while passing the UTET-II exam is required to become a teacher in a junior high school.
The Uttarakhand Board of School Education had originally set the application window from July 14 to August 3. However, candidates were facing difficulties in submitting their online applications due to internet connectivity issues caused by adverse weather conditions.
