The trial run for the Adventure Festival started in Satpuli Nayar Valley
Preparations have intensified for the adventure festival proposed in Nayar Valley in February. In a move to take mountain tourism to new heights, the skies above Bilkhet were filled with excitement on Friday as a team from Himalayan Aero Sports, Dehradun, conducted trial paragliding flights.
District Tourism Development Officer Khushal Singh Negi said that these trials will help connect local youth with adventure sports, provide them with training, and promote employment and tourism. The paragliding trials will continue until Sunday, while trials for kayaking and other adventure activities will begin next week. Adventure expert Ajay Kandari said that a national-level mega paragliding festival will also be organized during the upcoming festival. He added that Nayar Valley is an ideal location for paragliding due to its natural topography. The state government and the district administration are making serious efforts to put this region on the national tourism map.
