QS World Ranking 2025 released subject wise

QS World Subject Wise Ranking 2025 has been released. In this, 9 higher educational institutes of India have made it to the top 50. This year, the rank of 3 IITs, 2 IIMs and JNU of the country has declined.

IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur have got 28th and 45th place in the list of Engineering Mineral and Mining Subject. However, the position of both of them has decreased from last year’s ranking.

Ranking of IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay improved

The ranking of IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, which were at 45th position last year in Engineering and Technology, has improved to 26th and 28th this year. Both these institutes have also improved their ranking in Engineering Electrical and Electronics and have made it to the top 50.

IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore have made it to the top 50 in Business and Management Studies this year as well. However, their ranking has fallen from last year. IIM Ahmedabad has moved from 22nd to 27th position, while IIM Bangalore has moved from 32nd to 40th position.

IIT Madras in Petroleum Engineering and JNU in Development and Labor Studies have made it to the top 50, but the ranking has deteriorated since last year.

79 universities of India in the ranking

79 universities of India have got a place in the subject wise ranking this year, which is 10 more than last year. This time Indian universities have been included in the ranking a total of 533 times, which is 25.7% more than last year.

This year India is at number 5 in terms of new entries. Only China, the US, the UK and Korea have added more new universities to the list than India. India is ranked 12th in terms of total entries.

Computer Science and Information Systems remains the most popular subject in India. India’s entries in this subject have increased from 28 to 42, making it fourth in the world. Only the US (119), the UK (62) and China (58) are ahead of India in this subject.
