For admission in the D.El.Ed. course, the existing system will be kept in force.
The validity of the Uttar Pradesh Teeters Eligibility Test was earlier only for five years. Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) increased the validity of the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET) examination. Now its validity has been made lifelong instead of seven years. This decision was taken by the National Council for Teachers Education, NCTE in the 50th General Assembly meeting. Since CTET is also valid in the recruitment of teachers in UP, lakhs of unemployed youth of the state will also benefit from it.
The statement issued by NCTE on October 13 said that the validity of CTET will now be lifelong.
CTET exam is held twice a year
CBSE conducts this exam twice a year. The first exam is conducted in the month of July while the second exam is conducted in December. The candidates who are successful in the CTET first paper are considered eligible for the recruitment of teachers for class I to V. Whereas the candidates who are successful in the second paper are considered eligible for class 6th to 8th.
