Dehradun-Tanakpur Express will now run three days a week

There’s good news for rail passengers in Uttarakhand between Garhwal and Kumaon. The Ministry of Railways has approved increasing the frequency of the Dehradun-Tanakpur Express from weekly to tri-weekly (three days). The Ministry has issued an order to this effect.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed this issue in detail during his meeting with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in New Delhi on October 8th. Acting swiftly on the Chief Minister’s request, the Ministry of Railways has approved the three-weekly Tanakpur-Dehradun train service.

According to the new timetable, the 15019 Dehradun-Tanakpur Express will now run on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Previously, it only ran on Sundays. The 15020 Tanakpur-Dehradun Express will now run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Previously, it only ran on Saturdays.
