Uttarakhand weather update: Heavy rain warning in six districts including Doon for 24 Aug
There is a warning of heavy rain in the hill districts of Uttarakhand on Sunday (August 24) as well. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, an orange alert has been issued for very heavy rain in some areas of Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Nainital including Dehradun.
Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain with lightning in other districts. There is an orange alert for heavy rain in the hill districts on August 25 as well. While there is a possibility of heavy rain across the state till August 27.
Cloudburst in Tharali
On Friday (August 22), heavy damage was caused due to cloudburst at different places in Tharali and Narayanbagh development blocks of Chamoli district.
After cloudburst in Sagwad, Tundri of Tharali and Juda village of Narayanbagh, the rain debris in the streams entered the houses and residential shops causing damage to life and property.
