The Haridwar-Dehradun rail track was disrupted for 13 hours on Thursday for the third day due to debris coming from the mountain near the Bhimgoda Kali temple. Due to this the operation of 38 trains was affected. 18 trains were cancelled. 11 trains were stopped at the middle station and nine trains were operated from other stations. The track, which was blocked at 4:10 am, was opened for train operations at 5:10 pm.
Railway’s Senior DCM Coaching Sudhir Singh told that the track was made smooth after 13 hours. Earlier on Wednesday, the track was closed for five and a half hours, in which 24 trains and 29 trains were affected due to the closure of the track for 13 hours on Tuesday.
These trains will be canceled today
Kalinga Utkal Express train will remain canceled on Friday and Saturday due to damage to the pillar of Yamuna Bridge in Delhi. Also, both New Delhi Jan Shatabdi Express to and fro trains and Mussoorie Express train will remain canceled on Friday.
Railway set up shuttle bus
For the convenience of the passengers of the affected trains, the railway administration sent the passengers from the railway station by arranging shuttle buses. In the morning, 316 passengers of three trains were sent in seven buses. The Haridwar Railway Administration arranged buses for the passengers till the trains started operating on the track.
