Dehradun traffic police to again conduct one way traffic trial

The Dehradun traffic police will again conduct a trial of the new traffic plan on Friday. This time the police will implement the new traffic plan after removing all the preparations and shortfalls. DIG Arun Mohan Joshi on Sunday implemented the new traffic plan as a trial in view of the works under the Smart City. From morning to afternoon, the traffic plan kept going as expected, amidst some problems, but it was reviewed by the police officers due to the traffic jam at Ghantaghar, Darshan Lal Chowk.

Now the Doon Police has again agreed to implement the One Way Traffic Plan as a trial. According to the DIG, the traffic plan will be implemented on Friday. Police believe that more vehicles remain on the roads from Monday to Friday. The police will place signage signs in place, so that the commuters do not have to face troubles. In the same sequence, on Monday morning, DIG Arun Mohan Joshi, SP City Shweta Chaubey and other officers reached Ghantaghar, Orient Chowk, Budha Chowk and learned about the flaws. DIG Joshi also sought suggestions from subordinates for overcoming shortcomings and better traffic operations. Police officers suggested to remove dividers near Darshan Lal Chowk. The DIG instructed the SP traffic to remove the gaps found at various points and put direction signs.
