A horrific road accident has occurred in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. An HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) bus fell into a gorge. Three people are reported dead in this accident. Several passengers are injured. The HRTC bus, which was traveling from Himachal Pradesh to Paonta Sahib, went out of control and fell into a gorge on the Haripur Kwanu road.

Today, the CCR Dehradun received information that a bus had met with an accident and fallen into a deep gorge in the Kwanu, Kalsi area. According to preliminary information, there were more than 30 passengers on the bus. The HRTC bus that fell into the gorge has the number HP66 A 2588. It is reported that the bus conductor informed the police about the accident by phone. Prima facie, the cause of the accident is believed to be while overtaking another vehicle. While overtaking, the driver steered the bus too far off the road, and the bus went out of control and fell into the gorge.
