Temperatures near 40 degrees in Dehradun

Even though the rain and snowfall in May and June this year in Uttarakhand brought relief from the heat, but whenever the weather is clear, the heat has shown its fury. This year, the monsoon is expected to arrive in the state six days early. But, before the monsoon arrives, the heat increased the mercury on Tuesday and the hot winds also caused sweltering conditions.

The maximum temperature of Doon on June 10, was 39.1 degrees with an increase of four degrees from normal. This was the highest temperature recorded this season. The minimum night temperature was also recorded at 25.7 degrees with an increase of 2.5 degrees from normal. Due to this, hot winds troubled at night as well. Similar situation was seen in other areas of the state as well.

Monsoon will enter some districts of Uttarakhand with light rain today. Meteorologists say that this time the monsoon will enter the state six days early. While there is also a possibility of six percent more rainfall in the entire season. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert for light rain has been issued in some parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital, Pithoragarh districts including Dehradun on June 11. While winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour in the plains. Talking about the coming days, there is a possibility of light rain and strong winds across the state till June 16.
