6 dacoits rob jewellery showroom in Haridwar
Armed criminals entered a Jewellery shop in Haridwar posing as customers and robbed about five crores of inventory in just 12 minutes and fled. The incident captured in the CCTV camera indicates that the criminals were very professional, they fired at the showroom owner only to spread terror.
The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the showroom. As per reports, two criminals of the gang who carried out the crime worth crores in Shri Balaji Jewelers first entered the showroom posing as customers. One of the criminals even greeted the showroom staff while entering. Then he asked to see a gold bangle.
The salesgirl started showing the bangle. At that time two female customers present in the showroom had left. Meanwhile, one of the criminals got up from the chair, went straight to the counter, took out a pistol from the pocket of his jeans and fired upwards towards the showroom owner. Then other members of the gang present outside entered inside with a thud.
Terrorizing the entire staff at gunpoint, the criminals broke the showcases in a very well-planned manner with a hammer. After carrying out the crime in just 12 minutes, the miscreants sprayed pepper spray in the showroom and fled on their two-wheeler parked nearby. The CCTV footage shows that two miscreants had tied handkerchiefs on their mouths.
But the others did not cover their faces. Their audacity can be gauged from the fact that they were not in a hurry at all while carrying out the crime, they even took the help of the staff in collecting the jewellery by threatening them.
Fled from different routes
After committing a robbery of Rs 5 crore, the miscreants took different routes to escape. It is being told that three miscreants on a bike ran towards Aryanagar Chowk through the lane in front of the showroom, while their companions on a scooter took a different route.
