Ganga water found in Haridwar of ‘B’ category as per pollution control board report

The water of Ganga in Haridwar is suitable for bathing, but not for drinking. Last month, the Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board (UKPCB) had tested the quality of Ganga water. The quality of water in it was found to be in B category. Water in this category is not considered potable.

The Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board takes samples of Ganga water every month and gets it tested. According to PCB officials, in this sequence, the quality of water was tested in Haridwar last month.

PCB regional officer Rajendra Singh said that the quality of water in it was found to be in B category. Water in this category is suitable for bathing, but not for drinking. PCB member secretary Dr. Parag Madhukar Dhakate said that the water of Ganga in Haridwar has been reported in B category for a long time.
