Building collapses in Lucknow; death toll reaches 8

A major accident took place in UP’s capital Lucknow on Saturday evening. Many people were trapped in the collapse of a three-storey building in Transport Nagar. The death toll in this accident has risen to 8 and 28 people are injured. Rescue operation is underway.

According to the information, Harmilap Building had three floors. Mobile and spare parts work was done below. There was a warehouse of medicines on the middle floor and gift items on the third floor. The administration says that everyone has been evacuated from the lower floor. It is not yet known exactly how many are trapped in the debris of the two floors. Drones have been brought. Efforts are being made to detect voice from the debris.

The administration has said that many people were buried due to the collapse of the building in Transport Nagar, Lucknow. NDRF and SDRF pulled out the people trapped in the debris. The injured have been admitted to the hospital. The name of the building is Harmilap Building which is three-storey. Eight ambulances had reached the spot. Additional ambulances have been called for if required. The injured have been taken to Lok Bandhu Hospital.

CM had taken cognizance

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had taken cognizance of the matter. Along with this, instructions were given to the SDRF and NDRF teams to reach the spot.
