Country’s first sea glass bridge inaugurated in Kanyakumari

The country’s first sea glass bridge has been completed on the coast of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated this 77 meter long and 10 meter wide bridge on Monday evening.
With the construction of the bridge, tourists can reach the 133 feet high Thiruvalluvar statue directly from the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on the coast of Kanyakumari. The state government spent Rs 37 crore for this project.
The tourism officer of Kanyakumari said that there is a sea below the glass bridge. Walking on the bridge feels like we are walking on the sea. The bow-shaped arch glass bridge has been designed to withstand the strong winds blowing on the coast.
During the inauguration, CM Stalin, Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, state ministers and MP Kanimozhi walked on the bridge. After the inauguration, a laser light show was also organized on the statue of Thiruvalluvar.
