DA of Central Government employees increased by 2%
The Modi government has decided to increase the DA of the Central Government employees and pensioners. In the Union Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, dearness allowance (DA) has been increased by 2 percent. After this increase, the DA has become 9%.
The benefit of this increase will be given to 1.10 crore Central Government employees and pensioners. At present, the Central Government employees receive dearness allowance of 7 per cent. This increase has been done according to the formulas decided in the 7th Pay Commission.
Earlier, the Union Cabinet has increased dearness allowance by 2 per cent. This was announced in March this year. These increased rates were effective from January. Dearness Allowance is an allowance, which is given to government employees, public sector employers and pensioners.
