IIM Kashipur’s Grant Program Supports Youth Innovation with ₹10 Lakh Funding

The Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (FIED) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has invited applications under the Ministry of IT’s Genesis EIR support program. Selected startups will receive a grant of up to ₹10 lakh.

Dr. Safal Batra of IIM Kashipur, who attended the Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit, explained that the program aims to encourage youth in innovation and entrepreneurship. Special focus is placed on innovations related to electronic design and manufacturing, deeptech software and products, and the ICT space. Last year, 75 startups received grants and more than 3,000 jobs were created. Applications can be made through https://fied.in/ . This initiative aims to promote innovation and provide entrepreneurial opportunities to youth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across the country.

Who can apply?

  • Full-time UG/PG students or founders of DPIIT-recognized startups whose startup is no more than two years old.
  • Applicants must be in the ideation, prototyping, or proof-of-concept stage.
  • Those who have not received external funding (including government grants) exceeding ₹10 lakh.
  • Those whose idea or innovation is original and not a copycat of an existing product or service.

The last date to submit application is October 20, 2025.
