Temperature drop forecast in Uttarakhand before Christmas and New Year; possibility of rain and snowfall today
Cold may intensify in Uttarakhand before Christmas and New Year. Meteorologists have predicted snowfall along with rain in the hill districts of the state today.
According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, light rain and snowfall is expected in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Almora districts including the mountainous areas of Dehradun.
However, the weather will remain dry in other districts. Meteorologists say that there may be a drop in temperature due to rain and snowfall. Due to this, cold may increase from the mountains to the plains.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature of Doon was 24.5 with an increase of four degrees from normal and the minimum temperature was 7.2 degrees with an increase of two degrees. Talking about the figures, this minimum temperature is the highest in the past years. The main reason for this is the changes in the weather pattern.
