Monsoon withdrawal likely from Sept 15

Monsoon may start withdrawing from the country from September 15 according to the forecast made by the Meteorological Department regarding the departure of the southwest monsoon, the monsoon may start leaving the country from September 15. The monsoon line may move forward from the coastal areas of Rajasthan. Usually, the monsoon returns from Uttarakhand within 15 to 20 days of its departure from Rajasthan.

According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall, lightning with thunder and intense spells of rain in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Almora, Nainital and Bageshwar today (September 13). An orange alert has been issued regarding this. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued regarding heavy rainfall and lightning with thunder in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts.

Clouds have camped from the mountains to the plains of Uttarakhand and heavy rain is also being recorded at some places. On Friday, the day remained cloudy and there were heavy showers. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in six districts of the state including Dehradun today. The activity of monsoon has increased again in the state and the effect of western disturbance is visible.
