3 percent DA hike for Uttarakhand state government employees

Three percent Dearness Allowance (DA) has been released to about 2.5 lakh employees, pensioners and family pensioners of the state. The balance arrears will be paid in cash from July 1 to November 30. Regular payment of dearness allowance will be made from December 1. The payment of dearness allowance will result in an additional expenditure of Rs 470 crore on the exchequer.

Mandate for employees and pensioners attached to fifth, sixth and seventh pay scales

This will benefit state employees, regular and full time employees of aided educational and technical educational institutions and urban local bodies, work charge employees and post holders working in UGC pay scales. Additional Secretary Finance Ganga Prasad has given mandate in this regard for the employees and pensioners of the fifth, sixth and seventh pay scales on Wednesday.

Recently, in the meeting of the state cabinet, it was decided to give 3% dearness allowance to the employees. The pension contribution of the employees associated with the Contributory Pension Scheme will be credited to the New Pension Scheme account along with the employer’s share. The remaining amount will be paid out.

All India Service officers will also get Dearness Allowance. According to the order, the DA of employees and pensioners of 6th pay scale will be increased from 189 per cent to 196 per cent and for fifth pay scale employees and pensioners from 356 per cent to 368 per cent.

Separate order will be issued for these

A separate order will be issued to increase the dearness allowance by three percent for the judges of the High Court, the chairman and members of the Public Service Commission, and the employees of the public sector undertakings.

DA to one lakh pensioners and family pensioners also

The government also issued an order to give three percent dearness allowance to the pensioners and family pensioners whose pension is fixed under the recommendations of the fifth, sixth and seventh pay commissions. This will benefit more than one lakh pensioners and family pensioners in the state.
