India-New Zealand Test Series: Day 1 washed out due to unrelenting rains

The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand was to start from October 16, i.e. today, but the first day’s play could not be held due to rain in Bengaluru. The first day’s play of the first Test was called off due to heavy rain. The toss could not even take place in the first day’s play of the first Test.

Bengaluru witnessed incessant rain on the first day of the first Test between India and New Zealand resulting in a washout on Day 1. It was already raining in Bengaluru before 9 o’clock, due to which the players of both the teams did not come to the stadium for a long time.

At the same time, the fans who reached the stadium to watch the match stood outside the stadium for hours with umbrellas in their hands, but the rain did not stop, after which the fans were disappointed to see the first day’s play being canceled.

When it was raining in Bengaluru, pictures of Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal went viral on social media, in which both the players were seen doing indoor practice.

Apart from this, BCCI changed the timing of the second day’s game. BCCI informed that tomorrow i.e. on October 17, the toss will take place at 8:45 am. At the same time, the match will start at 9:15 am.
