The Indian hockey team has played well in the Paris Olympics so far. Apart from losing the match against Belgium in the pool match, it has not lost any match so far. Team India has won three matches while it had a 1-1 draw against Argentina. India has defeated New Zealand, Ireland and strong Australia.
Hockey Quarter final matches will be played after all the pool matches are over. The Indian hockey team defeated Australia 3-2 on Friday in the Paris Olympics. This was Team India’s last group match. The group challenge is now over. The real test of the Indian hockey team is about to begin now. The knockout test will begin from Sunday.
India will face Great Britain
After the group league was over, India was in second place in Pool-B. Belgium was in first place. Now India will face Great Britain in the quarter finals on 4th August at 1:30 PM IST. In the Tokyo Olympics, the Indian hockey team defeated Great Britain to make it to the semi-finals eventually winning the bronze medal.
