Manchester City retain Premier League title

Manchester City has defended the Premier League title. The Skyblues beat Brighton 4-1 on Matchday 2, while Liverpool remained in second place despite their 2-0 home win over Wolverhampton, leaving them waiting for their first Premier League title.

On the 38th and final match day leaders Manchester City and the Reds from Liverpool fought for the title in the Premier League. The starting position was clear, City went with a counter lead and the better goal difference in the final. Liverpool needed a victory against the Wolverhampton Wanderers and had to simultaneously hope for a slip-up of the Skyblues against Brighton.
