Novak Djokovic reaches quarter final of Wimbledon for the 16th time

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic has reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2025. He defeated Australia’s 11th seed Alex de Minaur 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 16 match on Monday night.

38-year-old Djokovic has entered the quarter-finals of this tournament for the 16th time. Now he will face Italian Flavio Cobolli.

Apart from Djokovic, Taylor Fritz of America, Karen Khachanov of Russia, Cameron Norrie of Britain and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain have also reached the top-8. In the women’s category, world number-1 Aryna Sabalenka, Laura Siegemund of Germany, Amanda Anisimova of America, Belinda Bencic of Switzerland, Liudmila Samsonova of Russia and Iga Swiatek of Poland have also reached the quarter-finals.

Taylor Fritz gets a walkover

In the Men’s Singles, World No. 5 Taylor Fritz of America got a walkover against Australia’s Jordan Thompson. At the time of the walkover, Fritz was ahead 6-1, 3-0. In the other match, Russia’s Karen Khachanov defeated Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak 6-4, 6-2, 6-3. Britain’s Cameron Norrie defeated Chile’s Nicolas Jarry 6-3, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 6-3 and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz defeated Andrey Rublev 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to enter the top-8.
