Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh got India the second medal in Paris Olympics 2024. Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot’s pair did wonders and won bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed event of shooting. For the bronze medal, the Indian pair was competing with the Korean pair of Wonho and Oh Ye Jin. In the match, the Indian pair won with a score of 16-10.
Manu Bhaker had got India the first medal of Paris Olympics 2024. Manu had won bronze in the single event of 10m air pistol. Now Manu also had a huge contribution in getting India the second medal. Manu Bhaker, who became India’s second medal sharer in Paris, also created history with the win.
Manu Bhaker etches name in record books
Manu Bhaker became the first Indian athlete after independence to win two medals in one Olympics. Although before this many Indian athletes have won two medals in different Olympics, but Manu got her name registered in the record book by winning two medals in the same Olympics. In 1900, British-Indian athlete Norman Pritchard won 2 medals (silver) at the Olympics.
