India got its first medal in Paris Olympics 2024 on Sunday (28 July). Women’s shooter Manu Bhaker won the first medal for India, which was bronze. Now today, on 29 July, Monday, India can get not one or two but three gold medals. In this, two medals can come through individual players and one team. Two individual medals can come in shooting. The remaining one medal could come in archery.
In shooting, Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta will try to increase the medal tally. Last Sunday, Ramita was at fifth position in the women’s 10 meter air rifle qualification round. At the same time, Arjun Babuta was at seventh position in the men’s 10 meter air rifle qualification round. A total of 8 players of the qualification round have confirmed their place in the final. Ramita Jindal will be seen in action at 1 pm and Arjun Babuta at 3:30 pm IST.
Apart from this, medals are also expected from the archery team comprising Dhiraj Bommdevara, Tarundeep Rai and Praveen Jadhav. Now it will be interesting to see how many medals India gets today. Apart from shooting and archery, Indian athletes will be seen showing their prowess in many other sports.
