UPL 2024: Dehradun-Haridwar to clash in opening game
In the Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) 2024 to be held in the capital Dehradun, the first match of the men’s category will be played between Dehradun Warriors and Haridwar Spring Almas. While the first match of the women’s category will be between Pithoragarh Hurricanes and Nainital SG Pipers. The fixture of the league was released by the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) on Monday.
All 16 matches of the league to be held on the lines of IPL will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. It will be inaugurated on 15 September. A cultural program will be organized in the opening ceremony before the match starting at 7:30 pm. Bollywood singer and musician B Praak will give a live performance in it.
To participate in this function, the audience will have to register on ticket booking platform Insider. At the same time, keeping in mind the entertainment of cricket lovers, the entry of spectators has been kept free for all the matches. While the matches of the league will also be telecast live.
CAU Secretary Mahim Verma said, musical programs have been arranged during all the matches for the entertainment of the audience. The men’s category matches will be played from September 15 and the women’s category matches will be played from September 18.
The men’s category final match will be played on September 22 and the women’s category title match will be played on September 21. He said that ‘UPL 2024 will provide a platform to the cricketers of Uttarakhand and will also be a big source of entertainment for the spectators here. Our effort is to make the league grand on the lines of IPL.’

UPL 2024 Prize Money
CAU secretary said that the team which will win the UPL 2024 in the men’s category will be given a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs. The runner-up team will be given Rs 15 lakhs. While in the women’s category, the winning team will get Rs 7 lakhs while the runners up will get Rs 3 lakhs.
