BlackBerry to make comeback in 2021 with QWERTY keypad 5G smartphones
BlackBerry is about to make a comeback in the smartphone market once again. According to the report, BlackBerry will enter the market in 2021 with a 5G smartphone. Texas-based company OnwardMobility will market and produce BlackBerry smartphones. Physical keyboard will be available in BlackBerry 5G phone, apart from this, security of enterprise level will be offered in the phone.
BlackBerry’s upcoming phones will be first available in Europe and North America. This BlackBerry phone will compete with Samsung’s 5G phones Galaxy Note 20 series and iPhone 12.
BlackBerry has signed a licensing agreement with OnwardMobility and FIH Mobile to manufacture a new smartphone, under which the company will launch a new smartphone market.
BlackBerry had signed a licensing agreement with Chinese company TCL in 2016, but the two split earlier this year. Under the new agreement, Onward Mobility will develop the new device, while FIH Mobility will work on designing and manufacturing it.
Return of the QWERTY keypad
It will be a 5G support handset. With this mobile, BlackBerry will bring back its very special Physical Qwerty (QWERTY) keypad, which was once one of the most attractive aspects of the company’s mobile phone.
Although no definite time has been officially told about the release of the new mobile phone yet, but it is believed that it will be launched in the first part of 2021. Initially it will be available only in North America and Europe. There is no information about its arrival in other countries including India.
Blackberry has assured that the new phone will also have security features similar to the company’s old smartphone, which will increase the productivity of the users and take care of their privacy and improve their experience.
