Google revamps Android calling app: New interface rolled out for millions of users

Google has released a new update of the calling app for crores of Android users. After this update, the interface of the calling app of Android users around the world has completely changed. Users have started seeing new icons as well as new options in it. Also, a calling card feature has been given in it, which gives users the freedom to personalize the photos of their contacts and the fonts seen during the call.
Many users have posted about the changes in the calling screen on social media platforms after this new update of Google. This update of the phone app gives users many personalization options. Apart from this, users can choose the calling screen as per their choice. When an incoming call comes, users will get the option to pick up the call by swiping as well as one touch call pick.
What are the new changes?
After this new update of the phone app, users have started seeing their favorite contacts in a single tab at the top. At the same time, the options with recent conversations or calls have started appearing in a container box. Also, contacts have been shifted to a navigation bar. However, users can still access it from the three-dot menu given above.
Apart from this, users will get the option to swipe when an incoming call comes. This feature has been added to avoid accidental call disconnection. Earlier, many users’ phones used to accidentally decline when an incoming call came. Now Google has given the option of swipe up or down in it.
Google was working on changes in the phone app for a long time. These features were rolled out for beta users only a few months ago. After testing, it has now been rolled out for all users. However, users with personalized user interface of Oppo, Realme, Xiaomi or other brands will not see these changes in the phone app. These changes will be visible to users using stock Android or Google’s phone app.
