2000 devotees to be registered offline every day in Haridwar-Rishikesh CM gives instructions

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed to increase the number of offline registrations of devotees to 2,000 per day. The Chief Minister gave these instructions when the pressure of crowd in the Char Dhams reduced somewhat.

He reviewed the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra 2024 at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. During the review, he took information about crowd management in the four Dhams. Keeping in mind the increasing number of devotees, he asked to increase the number of offline registrations in Haridwar and Rishikesh from 1,500 to 2,000 devotees per day.

The CM said, ‘making the Chardham Yatra smooth and safe is our top priority. All the officers associated with this system should discharge their responsibilities with commitment’. The Chief Minister nominated Secretary Shailesh Bagauli and Special Secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate as nodal officers to make an effective action plan for water conservation and water enrichment.

The CM said, attention should be paid to planning with seriousness towards water conservation and water enrichment. Efforts should be made to connect the general public to it to run it as a mass movement.

Will review water conservation and plantation campaign tomorrow

The Chief Minister will review the water conservation and plantation campaign in the state on Wednesday. This meeting will be held in the auditorium on the fifth floor of Vishwakarma Bhawan located in the Secretariat. In the meeting, inter-departmental coordination will be discussed by identifying the drying water sources and rain-based rivers and making a comprehensive action plan for treatment. Instructions have also been given to include voluntary organizations active in the environmental sector in the meeting.
