259 Corona cases detected in Uttarakhand on 28 July

On Tuesday, 259 people have been confirmed corona infection in the state, out of which maximum 108 cases have been reported in Udham Singh Nagar. Apart from this, 45 are from Nainital, 42 Haridwar, 33 Dehradun, 13 Tehri Garhwal, ten Almora, five Champawat and one Bageshwar. At the same time, 45 patients have been cured today. The number of infected patients has now reached 6587 in the state, out of which 3720 people have been completely recovered and discharged. Currently 2759 cases are active, while 70 infected have died. Apart from this, 38 patients have gone out of the state.

32 more inmates corona positive

On Tuesday, 32 more prisoners were found corona positive in the Dehradun District Prison. On Tuesday, a total of 95 detainees were examined for corona. In this way the number of Corona positive detainees in the prison has reached 97. At the same time, about 55 jail staff doing duty in the enclosure area of ​​barrack number three-four were also tested. It is a matter of relief that none of these were found positive. The jail administration says that there are eight barracks in the enclosure area of ​​barrack number three-four, where about 300 prisoners are kept. All Corona positive captives have been found in these eight barracks.

In the sample examination on the basis of population, Champawat district ranks first in the state. Here 2017 sample tests are being done per lakh. At the same time, Uttarkashi is second and Rudraprayag district is third. Presently, Haridwar district has become a hot spot for corona infection. Despite the population of Haridwar district being higher than other districts, the rate of sample examination is the lowest here.

More than 15 lakh infected in India till date

The outbreak of Corona virus (Covid-19), a global pandemic in India, continues to increase and so far more than thirty four thousand people have died due to it and the total number of patients infected has increased to more than fifteen lakhs. Of these, 70 percent cases of infection are from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat.

According to Worldometers website, which monitors global data of the corona virus, a total of 34,223 people lost their lives due to the pandemic till Tuesday (July 28) at around 10 pm (Indian time). The total number in the country has increased to 15,29,653, out of which 9,87,174 people have become healthy.
