The registration figure for Chardham Yatra 2023 is about to cross 25 lakh. In this, maximum 8.65 lakh devotees have registered for Kedarnath Dham. Registration for Kedarnath has been suspended till May 8 due to inclement weather. Only those devotees who have registered earlier will be allowed to travel.

The government has made registration of pilgrims mandatory for the Chardham Yatra. There is no fixed number of devotees for darshan in the four dhams. But due to continuous bad weather, the journey is getting affected. According to the records of the tourism department, more than 24.53 lakh pilgrims have registered for the Char Dham Yatra since February 22. Four lakh devotees have visited it from April 22 to May 5.

Joint Director Tourism Yogendra Gangwar said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the pilgrims regarding the Chardham Yatra. In view of the bad weather, the registration of Kedarnath Dham has been stopped. Regular registrations are being done for Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham.
