CM Pushkar Singh Dhami meets PM Modi, invites him to visit Adi Kailash and Chardham

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday in New Delhi. After meeting PM Modi, CM Dhami told the media that he has invited the Prime Minister to visit Adi Kailash and Chardham Yatra.

Giving information about this meeting with PM Modi, in a statement issued by the Uttarakhand CMO, it was said that ‘the Chief Minister has approved various externally aided projects and special assistance schemes for capital projects, including the approval of the Jamrani Dam project for the development of the state. He thanked the Prime Minister for the comprehensive support of the Government of India.

Talk on relief package for the victims of Joshimath landslide

The CM office also said that while giving information about the relief and displacement works of landslide victims in Joshimath area of Chamoli, the Chief Minister said that an economic package of Rs 2942.99 crore is needed for landslides repair work. In the above package, construction of 150 pre-fabricated houses, site development work, affected allowance is important for temporary relief and housing for the affected.

The Chief Minister also requested the Prime Minister to direct the concerned to operate air services at Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh and transfer the airport to the Indian Air Force (Ministry of Defence) in view of the expansion of the airport.

Chardham Yatra 2023 will start from April 22

This year’s Char Dham Yatra will begin with the opening of the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri temples on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya on April 22. After this, the doors of Kedarnath will open on 25 April and Badrinath Dham on 27 April.

CM Dhami has ordered to eliminate the compulsion of registration of local people for this Chardham Yatra. In a meeting regarding the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra, Dhami directed the officials to abolish the compulsion of registration of the local people going to visit the Char Dham.
