According to the board examination schedule, the practical examinations for Intermediate and High School, internal assessments, and project work will be conducted from January 16, 2026, to February 15, 2026. The main written examinations will begin on February 21, 2026, and continue until March 20, 2026. The council stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure a transparent and peaceful examination process.
A total of 216,121 students will appear for the High School and Intermediate board examinations this year, conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education. Council Secretary Vinod Prasad Simulti informed that 112,679 students will take the High School examination and 103,442 students will appear for the Intermediate examination. Of the High School students, 110,573 are regular students and 2,106 are private candidates, while in the Intermediate examination, 99,345 are regular students and 4,097 are private candidates.
Thus, a total of 103,442 students will participate in the Intermediate examination. This year, 1,261 examination centers have been set up across the state for the smooth conduct of the examinations, including 24 new centers. Considering the sensitivity of the examinations, 156 sensitive and 6 highly sensitive examination centers have been identified.
The highly sensitive examination centers include four in Haridwar, one in Pithoragarh, and one in Almora. The Council Secretary stated that stringent measures have been taken to prevent cheating during the examinations. Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, and any other electronic devices will be strictly prohibited for students at all examination centers. The cooperation of the district administration will also be sought at remote and sensitive examination centers.
