Fomrer IPS Ganesh Martolia has been appointed as the new UKSSSC Chairman. He is known to have a very honest image and tough temper against negligence. After the resignation of S Raju, the post of the chairman fell vacant. The Governor of Uttarakhand, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section-7 of the UKSSSC Act, 2014, approveed the appointment of retired IPS Ganesh Singh Mertolia as the Chairman of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission with effect from the date of assumption of charge. Earlier, there were reports of rigging in the UKSSSC recruitment examinations. Many people were arrested in this. The investigation of the case is still going on and it is believed that some more arrests may also be made.
