Heatwave: Temperatures soar from mountains to plains

The havoc of record-breaking heat being recorded for the past few days will continue for some more days. Hot winds will trouble people in the plains of the state as well as in parts of some hill districts. A warning has been issued by the Meteorological Center for this.

According to the forecast issued by the Center, an orange alert has been issued for hot winds blowing in some areas of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Tehri, Almora districts including Dehradun today. There are chances of gusty winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers in some parts of the hill districts. While in other districts too, due to severe heat, hot winds will trouble during the day as well as at night.

If we look at the data, the maximum temperature of Doon on Saturday was recorded at 42.4 degrees with an increase of nine degrees from normal. While the minimum temperature of the night was also recorded at 26.9 degrees with an increase of three degrees.

At the same time, the maximum temperature of Doon today is expected to be 42 and the minimum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees. Such a high temperature in June is being recorded for the first time in the last 121 years.
