Key decisions of Uttarakhand cabinet on 22 June

A cabinet meeting was held on Saturday, June 22 afternoon under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Many important decisions were taken, including accident insurance of up to Rs 1 crore to government employees. The government has tied up with four banks to provide accident insurance to employees.

SBI, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank and Canara Bank are also included. Having an account in these banks will be able to avail benefits without premium. It was decided in the cabinet meeting that the government will soon tie up with other banks as well.

The Dhami government has also taken an important decision in view of the shortage of specialist doctors. Now the retirement age of specialist doctors in the state has been increased. After the decision of the government, now specialist doctors will retire at 65 years. Apart from this, it has also been considered to form an authority to create transport system in cities.

For this, the government has approved the bill. It has also been decided to give 33 percent reservation to women in the management committees of cooperative societies. Till now only two posts were reserved for women by the committee.

The master plan of Mahasu Devta has also been approved by the Dhami government. For this, it has been decided to displace 26 families as well as give 10 lakh rupees for building houses. The service rules of ministerial employees of various authorities in Uttarakhand have been approved.

Recruitment and promotion will be done like state employees. Under the tourism policy of the Dhami government, subsidy will continue to be available for the next five years. It is known that up to 50 percent subsidy is available on investment.
