Monsoon to reach Uttarakhand in next 48-72 hours

After the pre-monsoon rains, monsoon rains will knock in the state in the next 48 to 72 hours. According to weather experts, this time the above average rains are expected in the monsoon season. This sequence will continue from 25 to 30 September. At present, the light rain of pre-monsoon has brought relief by bringing down the mercury.

According to Vikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Center Dehradun, the monsoon that started from Kerala has reached Bihar and UP. It will enter Uttarakhand in the next two-three days. Good monsoon rains are expected in the beginning itself. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Kumaon.

Mercury plummets, temperature drops from 39.5 degrees to 30

The intermittent light rains for the last two days have changed the mood of the weather. On Wednesday morning, there was rain for some time in Kathgodam area, while in other places, the temperature has dropped with the winds blowing. Compared to Tuesday, the maximum temperature fell by nine and a half degrees and reached 30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, cold winds blew from the north at 6.7 km per hour and drizzle occurred. At some places, there was light drizzle, while the areas adjoining Ranibagh-Kathgodam received good rain. Due to the fall in temperature, people got a lot of relief from the heat. The humidity in the weather also increased to 79 percent. The sun came out again in the afternoon. After this, till evening, clouds kept coming and going and accompanied by breeze.
