UKSSSC paper leak claim: SIT probe to be headed by retired judge

The Uttarakhand government has taken a major decision in the UKSSSC (Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission) paper leak allegations. The government has announced the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a retired High Court judge. The SIT will complete its investigation within a month and submit its report to the government. The exam results will not be declared until the investigation is complete. Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan confirmed this.
He stated that they are learning a lot from this entire incident, and any shortcomings will be rectified. The state government does not want young people to be deceived in any way. Strict action will be taken against those who conspired against them. The government has also appealed to the public that if anyone has information about such cases, they can share the information with the state government, administration, and police.
Last Sunday (September 21), the UKSSSC conducted a written examination for graduate-level posts. The exam began simultaneously at 11 a.m. at 445 centers across the state. However, shortly after the exam began, screenshots of the question papers surfaced. Following this, the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association alleged a paper leak. This incident caused an uproar in the state. Following this, a petition was submitted by the UKSSSC to Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh.
Late on September 21st, Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh and UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia held a joint press conference. During this, UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia stated that it was surprising how the question papers were leaked from the exam center despite the jammer.
When the police began investigating the matter, the name of a man named Khalid surfaced. He was arrested yesterday (September 23rd) in Haridwar. Police also detained Khalid’s sisters, although one was later released. The investigation revealed that the paper had been leaked from a center in Haridwar. Khalid had also gone to take the exam at this center.
The investigation revealed that the center where Khalid was taking the exam had a total of 18 rooms. A total of 15 jammers were installed for the exam, but rooms number 9, 17, and 18 were not. Khalid was taking the exam in one of these rooms, room number 9. From this room, Khalid sent three pages of the exam from a device to his sister, who then sent them to Professor Suman Chauhan.
It should be noted that on Saturday night, September 20th, just before the UKSSSC exam, the police also arrested cheating mafia Hakam Singh and his accomplice. They are accused of deceiving some candidates by promising them passage in the exam, and on this basis, the accused demanded 15 lakh rupees each from them.
