Trials for Uttarakhand Premier League Season 2 have started from August 4. For Garhwal division, these trials are being held at Ayush Cricket Academy, Chhidarwala, Dehradun. While for Kumaon region, the trials are being held at Amenity School, Udham Singh Nagar. In these trials, the enthusiasm of emerging cricket players from every corner of the state is being seen. On the first day, a total of 481 players registered from all over the state.
A total of 325 players registered for Garhwal division at Ayush Cricket Academy, Chhidarwala, Dehradun. On the other hand, 156 players of Kumaon division registered at Amenity School, Udham Singh Nagar.
These UPL trials started from August 4 and will continue on August 5 and 6, 2025. During this, the skills, technique, and performance of the players will be closely evaluated so that the best talent can be selected for the Uttarakhand Premier League. The Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) provides a platform for the cricketers of the state, where they can showcase their talent and make a mark at the national and international level. Organizing this league not only promotes local cricket, but also provides an opportunity to young players to step into professional cricket.
UPL Committee members said, we are very happy to see the encouraging participation of players in the trials this year. Many of these 481 players from Garhwal and Kumaon region have exceptional talent. Our aim is to select the best players through these trials, who perform brilliantly in the Uttarakhand Premier League. The list of selected players will be prepared after the conclusion of the trials. They will get the opportunity to join different teams for UPL 2025.
