CM makes two important announcements for those affected by the Dharali disaster

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made two important announcements for the rehabilitation and relief of the people affected by the recent disaster in Dharali village of Uttarkashi district. An immediate assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be given for the houses completely damaged in the disaster.
The Chief Minister has announced that an immediate assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be provided for the rehabilitation/displacement of the people whose houses have been completely damaged or destroyed by the disaster in village Dharali, Tehsil Bhatwadi, District Uttarkashi. Apart from this, an assistance amount of Rs 5 lakh will also be given to the families of those who died in the disaster, so that they can get financial support in this difficult time.
Committee formed for overall revival and livelihood strengthening
The Chief Minister has announced the formation of a three-member committee for rehabilitation, overall revival, and strengthening of sustainable livelihood of the villagers affected by the disaster. This committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary, Revenue, which will submit its primary report to the government within a week. The committee will prepare a blueprint of a long-term and effective policy for the future of Dharali village, so that the safety and livelihood of the local community can be ensured.
The Chief Minister said that the state government stands with every disaster-affected citizen and all possible assistance will be provided. Relief and rehabilitation proceedings will be implemented quickly and effectively at the government level.
The state government will provide ration for the next 6 months to the affected families: Chief Minister
Talking about the Dharali rescue operation, Chief Minister Dhami said that the priority of the state government was to take the people to safe places. Despite bad weather, more than 1000 people have been rescued safely so far. Which includes local people as well as pilgrims from all over the country. The injured have been admitted to the District Hospital, AIIMS. Arrangements have been made to provide good treatment to everyone. He said that adequate amount of medicines, milk, ration, clothes have been delivered to Harshil and Dharali area.
The Chief Minister said that UREDA’s power house has been started for power supply in Harshil area. The power lines are being repaired by UPCL. Mobile connectivity has been improved and two 125 KV generator sets have also reached the disaster area. Road connectivity is being fixed in Harshil area. Bailey bridge is being constructed at a fast pace in Gangani. The roads affected by landslides will also be repaired soon. He said that there is a possibility of completely repairing the road to Harshil by Tuesday. After which other works can also be completed fast.
The Chief Minister said that every possible help is being provided to the affected families from the state government level. He said that the affected families will be provided ration for the next 6 months by the state government. An immediate assistance amount of ₹ 5.00 lakh will be released for the rehabilitation/displacement of those whose houses have been completely damaged or destroyed by the disaster. He said that a three-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Secretary, Revenue for the rehabilitation of the villagers. Which will assess the rehabilitation, displacement and loss of the affected people. He said the damage caused to apple orchards due to the disaster will also be assessed.
