Relief and rescue work continues on war footing in Dharali-Harsil area

After the nature’s fury in Dharali-Harsil area of ​​Uttarakhand district, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Uttarakhand Police is conducting relief and rescue operations on a war footing in coordination with the local administration, ITBP, Air Force, NDRF and other agencies.

So far, dozens of people from the disaster affected areas have been safely shifted from Dharali-Harsil to ITBP Matli Camp and Jollygrant (Dehradun) helipad with the help of helicopters. Airlifting resources like Chinook and MI-17 are being used especially in this work.

This rescue operation is continuing under the leadership and continuous guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Relief material, drinking water, medicines and food grains are being delivered to the people stranded in the affected areas through helicopters so that no one faces shortage of essential items.

The priority of the government is to ensure the safety of the life of every citizen, prompt medical assistance and fulfillment of essential requirements. SDRF teams are continuously taking risks and reaching hilly and difficult areas, so that relief can reach every needy person on time.

The state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of disaster and is taking all necessary steps expeditiously, giving priority to “relief, rescue and rehabilitation”.
