Rockfall reported on Gangotri route near Dabrani
Rockfall suddenlystarted in Dabrani near Uttarkashi Gangotri Highway, under which many people got trapped. Relief and rescue teams reached the spot as soon as the news was received. According to the information received, there is also a fire in the hill near Dabrani. From where the rockfall started.
On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and started rescue work. So far one dead and eight injured have been rescued. The injured have been sent to Harshil for treatment.

As soon as the news of the accident was received, District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht directed the relief and rescue teams to reach the spot immediately. Police, SDRF, NDRF, Revenue Team, Disaster Team reached the spot.
Traffic has been stopped at a safe place from both sides on the Gangotri National Highway. About 500 vehicles are stopped between Gangotri and Harshil. The work of removing boulders from the route is going on. Vehicular traffic will only be resumed after the route is completely safe.
