6.3 magnitude earthquake felt again in Turkey-Syria
Once again strong tremors of earthquake were felt in Turkey on Monday. Its intensity was measured at 6.3 on the Richter scale. The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported that a magnitude 6.3 earthquake occurred at a depth of two km (1.2 miles) in the Turkey-Syria border region. Earthquake tremors were felt twice in Turkey’s southern province of Hatay on Monday. According to media reports, several buildings have been damaged by the tremors of the latest earthquake.
Tremors were also felt in Beirut, Lebanon
According to local media reports, tremors of 6.4 and 5.8 magnitude earthquakes in Hatay province were also felt in neighboring Lebanon’s capital Beirut.
Turkey’s disaster agency said, quoting the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 occurred in Hatay at around 20:04 local time, while a second earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred three minutes later.
